My brave son.
Thanks to Carissa & Tricia I have been inspired to update my blog. Thanks!
Today my 4 year old Micah was a very brave boy. I was planning on getting his kindergarten shots but was not going to tell him about them ahead of time, but when we got to the Health Services office he asked me if he was going to get a shot....How he knew this was going to happen I do not know. (I had said nothing about it in front of him.) Maybe it was his brothers telling him he was going to have to have them for school trying to scare him in the past. Anyway I could not lie to him in the parking lot and told him that we were. He asked if he could take his stuffed kitty in with him and I let him thinking it would comfort him. He had other ideas....As the nurse was getting the shots ready....Micah told her that his Kitty was the one that needed to have them too. She proceeded to give Micah the shots but told him she would give Kitty his afterword. He asked her if they were going to hurt and she said just for a little bit. It would be kind of like a pinch. Micah was so brave he cried just a little when he seen the needle but really did not fight it to bad... The band-aid's at the end made the 3 shots all better. But he quickly reminded the nurse that Kitty still needed to have shots. So she played along and gave the Kitty a shot and even put a band-aid on it too!!! As we were walkind out the door Micah told her in a VERY quiet voice that it was already done hurting. What a brave little boy I have. I just hate when they have to go through things that hurt them. But aleast they are all done when for when he goes to 5k next fall.
